Anyone know where I can buy real back bacon in the Concord area? If it's good, I'd drive a half hour or so to get it :)
I'm recently back from the UK and I'd like to make my own "English Breakfast" with all the fixin's. (Don't tell my doctor, though; she's worried about my cholesterol levels.)

Re: Back Bacon
Sun, October 14, 2007 - 10:06 PMAm I right that 'back bacon' is Canadian bacon? If so,w e get ours at Costco--perhaps not every costco has it, but the one here in Richmond does and it is GREAT. The great thing about Canadian bacon is that it is exceptionally lean. -

Mon, October 15, 2007 - 7:17 PMIn theory, Canadian bacon is "back bacon" but what I've had labeled as "Canadian bacon" in the US isn't what I get when I'm in the UK.
I don't know how to describe what I mean. Can anyone help? -

Re: Back Bacon
Wed, October 17, 2007 - 10:53 PMThe kind we bought at costco is thicker than most I've tried before. It's better than any I've had before, so maybe it's more like what you are looking for? -

Thanks, Anne!
